Le soin apporté aux détails est rare, et Circut en est rempli. Mais ce qui m’a le plus convaincu, c’est son côté didactique : l’application vous apprend à bien choisir vos raccourcis, vous prévient quand l’un d’eux risque de se déclencher au mauvais moment, et vous propose de quoi démarrer.Attention to detail is rare, and Circut is full of it. But what won me over is how much it teaches you: the app shows you how to choose your shortcuts well, warns you when one of them might fire at the wrong moment, and offers you something to start from.

Débutant ou habitué, on s’y retrouve tout de suite. C’est un outil fait par des gens qui l’utilisent intensivement, et ça se sent à chaque instant.Whether you are new to this or an old hand, you find your feet right away. It is a tool made by people who use it heavily, and it shows at every turn.

Tout simplement conquis. J’étais pourtant très attaché à Alfred et assez réfractaire au changement. Mais en quelques heures, l’outil s’est imposé naturellement. C’est simple, intuitif, extrêmement bien pensé, et avec un vrai souci du détail et de l’expérience utilisateur (et ce n’est plus quelque chose que l’on voit souvent).Simply won over. J’utilise l’expansion de texte depuis plusieurs années, notamment avec Alfred et Raycast. Mais dans certaines apps (WhatsApp, Messages, Things…) mes textes étaient tronqués. Pour gérer ce bug, je devais désactiver l’expansion dans ces apps. Hyper frustrant.I’ve been using text expansion for years, mostly with Alfred and Raycast. But in some apps (WhatsApp, Messages, Things…) my texts came out truncated. To deal with that bug, I had to turn expansion off in those apps. Hugely frustrating.

J’ai adopté Circut en abandonnant Espanso car la migration était facile, et l’onboarding de Circut m’a convaincu qu’il allait me faire passer de rookie à vétéran dans l’usage de ces outils. Le fait de pouvoir disposer d’une UI sans quitter le clavier, c’est vraiment génial.I switched from Espanso to Circut because the migration was easy, and Circut’s onboarding convinced me it would take me from rookie to veteran with tools like these. Being able to use a UI without leaving the keyboard is really great.

J’utilise des text expanders depuis plus de 10 ans, et aText était jusqu’ici mon favori. Jonathan m’a fait tester Circut et c’est le jour et la nuit : beaucoup plus fluide, rapide, aucun bug, et les packs sont très pratiques. Alfred, Raycast… pléthore d’apps proposent de l’expansion de texte, mais aucune avec un tel niveau de soin. Le service est vraiment simple à utiliser, efficace et surtout très agréable au quotidien. Je suis – j’étais – utilisateur de TextExpander en payant, et des snippets de Raycast. J’ai annulé mon abonnement et je vais migrer au fil de l’eau mes snippets. J’aurais pu utiliser l’import mais tout le conseil intégré à l’application me pousse à revoir mes raccourcis. J’ai tout de même été bluffé par la vitesse d’exécution ainsi que la minutie et l’intelligence derrière chaque fonctionnalité. En vrac : des notifs pour se souvenir de ses circuts, des collections thématiques, des conventions franchement intelligentes, et j’en passe. Chapeau bas ! 🎩I was still blown away by the speed of execution, as well as the care and intelligence behind every feature. In no particular order: notifications to remind you of your circuts, themed collections, genuinely smart conventions, and I could go on. Hats off! 🎩

Utilisateur des snippets d’Alfred depuis plusieurs années dans le cadre de mes activités professionnelles, j’avais commencé à emmagasiner un peu trop de doublons, et un tri était nécessaire ; mais pas le courage de m’y mettre. Voir la personne qui m’a « inspiré » dans mon utilisation quotidienne d’Alfred se lancer dans une application dédiée aux snippets m’a convaincu de donner sa chance à Circut.I’d been using Alfred’s snippets for my work for several years, and I had started to pile up a few too many duplicates. A cleanup was overdue, but I could never bring myself to do it. Seeing the person who had “inspired” my daily use of Alfred launch an app dedicated to snippets convinced me to give Circut a chance.

Bien m’en a pris, l’export depuis Alfred est facile, et l’application fait des merveilles à gérer les doublons, proposer des solutions de « raccourcis », etc. Bref, c’est validé, et en usage quotidien.Glad I did: exporting from Alfred is easy, and the app works wonders at handling duplicates, suggesting “shortcuts” and more. In short: approved, and in daily use.
